The main exporters of Russian poultry products are China ($523 million), Belarus ($264 million), Saudi Arabia ($189 million), Kazakhstan ($110 million), Vietnam ($97 million), United Arab Emirates ($30 million), Armenia ($25 million), Mongolia ($25 million) and Kyrgyzstan ($21 million).
Russia's exports of meat products, including poultry, show a rapid growth trend: exports have more than tripled in the past five years, from $410 million in 2018 to $1.438 billion in 2022.
In the 2022 export structure, poultry accounted for 57%, beef accounted for 16%, and mutton accounted for 1%. In physical terms, foreign exports at the end of 2022 amounted to 557,000 tons, compared to 292,000 tons in 2018. In 2022, the total production of meat products in Russia was 11.744 million tons (11.346 million tons in 2021, 10.629 million tons in 2018), of which 45% was poultry, 14% was beef and 2% was mutton.
China's chicken imports and exports hit a record high in October
In terms of the export volume of chicken products, the export volume of chicken products in October 2023 was 53,200 tons, an increase of 10.37% from the previous month and 21.46% year-on-year. From January to October 2023, the total export volume was 445,700 tons, down 0.10% year-on-year, basically unchanged from last year's high export volume.
