Both online flat farming and cage farming equipment used for raising chicks can be used for breeding, but the breeding density of chickens should decrease with increasing age.

There are two types of flat farming: padded flat farming and online flat farming. The density of padded flat farming is around 15 per square meter, while the density of online flat farming is around 20 per square meter.
（2） Cage rearing
A chicken cage that can both raise and breed chicks is called a chick rearing cage. After the chicken flock enters the breeding stage, the density of the flock should be adjusted in a timely manner, usually 20-30 chickens per square meter, and the height of the feeding and water tanks should be raised at any time to ensure that the flock can easily access food and water.
In the breeding stage, due to the decrease in chicken population density, the original brood cages cannot meet the requirements of the breeding period, and additional brood cages must be added. Generally, manufacturer's standardized cages are used, such as standardized three-layer square cages or three-layer single cages. The three-layer square cage is similar to the brood cage, and the three-layer single cage is similar to the egg chicken cage, but the bottom of the cage is flat. Each cage can hold 3-4 chickens, and each group can hold 90-120 chickens. All use material troughs and nipples or water dispensers to drink water.
